Hon. Marc Levine, (ret.) is a retired Administrative Law Judge, an Alternative Dispute Resolution practitioner, a certified mediator under the California Dispute Resolution Programs Act, and an arbitrator on the commercial panel for the American Arbitration Association (AAA). His practice area include specializing in arbitrating disputes in the insurance and Personal Injury arena, Contract disputes, Labor & Employment matters including Title VII, Discrimination and other Workplace disputes and other transactional disputes.

JUDGE LEVINE is experienced in all manners of commercial and personal automobile, motorcycle, watercraft, recreational vehicle, heavy equipment, property and casualty insurance policy issues. Levine specializes in coverage areas that include Personal injury, bodily injury to neck and back (spinal cervical, lumbar, thoracic, soft tissue injuries and injuries that result in paraplegic and quadriplegic outcomes. Levine has also had cases involving brain injuries, amputations, and other bodily related harm.

Other areas address property damage and premises liability, general coverage issues such as excess policy limits, total loss, building collapse, sagging, bulging, bending, settling, shrinking, or expansion, freezing, thawing, ice, snow, and catastrophic loss.

Levine's background also covers building related insurance issues such as theft, replacement value, appraisal, uninsured losses, subrogation, cancellation, coverage, rescission, nonrenewal, premium and contract disputes, bad faith, standards of care, fiduciary duty, habitability, flood, surface water, waves, tidal water discharge or overflow of water, earth movement (landslide, mudslide, mudflow, subsidence, sinkhole) earthquake, water penetration/seepage, moisture, mold, fungus and wet rot.

In the health insurance arena, Levine has experience in Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) experience and governmental and public agency issues.

DISCLOSURE: In compliance with C.C.P. §1281.9 and Ethical Standards for Neutral Arbitrators in Contractual Arbitration §10 adopted by the Judicial Council of California, written disclosure is made that Marc Levine is retired from serving as an Administrative Law Judge with the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board (CUIAB) in which he currently hears matters involving unemployment insurance, disability eligibility and employer tax cases. Under Government Code § 199.90, sub-section 10(C), Levine "may act as an arbitrator or mediator (or practice law) which will not directly or indirectly be related to the functions and responsibilities of the California Unemployment Insurance Appeals Board". Under C.C.P. §1281.91, additional disclosures shall be made in writing upon the initial appointment.
